Steven Hall is a writer working in books, TV, film and games. His first novel, The Raw Shark Texts, won the Borders Original Voices Award, the Somerset Maugham Award and was shortlisted for the Arthur C. Clarke Award. The book has been translated into thirty languages.

His second novel, Maxwell's Demon, was shortlisted for the Encore Award and called 'a dazzlingly smart postmodern treat' by The Observer.

As a screenwriter,  Steven is developing original TV and film projects with Apple, Element Pictures (Poor Things), Eleven (Sex Education), Broke & Bones (Black Mirror), Bad Robot (Lost), A24 (Everything Everywhere All at Once), the BBC, Sony and Hasbro.

Steven was also the lead writer on several the videogames including Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 5. He received a Writer's Guild Award nomination for his work on Battlefield 1.

In 2013, Steven was named as one of Granta Magazine’s Best of Young British Novelists.
